Students Against Methamphetamine |
To reach as many students as possible to inform how dangerous methamphetamine is, we sponsored a poster contest for grade levels 5-8 in Farmington Schools. First we created rules for the poster contest. This is a link to our flyer PDF: |
Poster Contest |
Next, we created a S.A.M. webpage on our school website that had all the information about this project. The webpage had the informational slideshows and poster contest flyer. To accompany the poster contest information, we decided to create a video as a "grabber" for other students our age. The video, flyer and slideshows were published on the website and we also burned them onto compact disks (CDs). Additionally, we decided to create an online email survey so students could express their feelings about meth, also on the webpage. Click here to view the S.A.M. resource page we provided: S.A.M. Resource Page (This page links to our video.) The local newspapers helped publicize our contest and research: Our Newspaper Articles |
