  In this course, students will increase keyboarding skills with Mavis Beacon Keyboarding, take monitored keyboarding timed tests and tie word processing, slideshow presentation and spreadsheet activities to the grade level curriculum. Macromedia Dreamweaver (website design), Anime (animation), concept mapping, office networking, digital file and image management, HTML coding and Google applications are also incorporated. This class meets every day, 10:30-11:15 a.m.

• 7th Vocabulary

  This course will cover 15 vocabulary units using Sadlier Oxford's Vocabulary Workshop, Level B. This class meets M, 2:00-2:55, during language. Tests are taken online Th or F during computer lab.

• 8th Computer Lab

  • Teacher: Leanna Johnson

  This course will focus throughout the year on creating entries for CyberFair and Global Virtual Classroom, international research website contests. Students will increase keyboarding skills with Mavis Beacon Keyboarding, take monitored keyboarding timed tests and tie word processing, slideshow presentation and spreadsheet activities to the grade level curriculum. Macromedia Dreamweaver (website design), Anime (animation), concept mapping, office networking, digital file and image management, HTML coding and Google applications are also incorporated. This class meets every day, 11:15-12 noon.

• 8th Vocabulary

  • Teacher: Leanna Johnson

  This course will cover 15 vocabulary units (300 words total) using Sadlier Oxford's Vocabulary Workshop, Level C. This class meets M, 2:00-2:55, during language. Tests are taken online Th or F during the language class period.

• 8th Language

  • Teacher: Leanna Johnson

  This course will focus on writing and grammar, using Prentice Hall's Writing and Grammar,Silver Level. There will be journal writings online. This class meets M-F, 2-2:55 in the computer lab.
