This course will focus throughout the year on creating an entry for ThinkQuest, a global website contest. Students will increase keyboarding skills with Mavis Beacon Keyboarding v. 16 and apply Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to curriculum activities. Macromedia Dreamweaver (website design) and Flash (animation) will be introduced. Digital photography will be included as an extension of the art curriculum. Online forums will be available as an extension of the reading and language curriculum. The Sadlier-Oxford Vocabulary Series Level C will be used here and all homework and tests taken online. Additionally, basic Spanish vocabulary will be introduced to students with interactive exercises. This class meets every day, 11:15-12 noon.

This course will review computer vocabulary and applications previously taught while continuing the use of Internet resources. Students will increase keyboarding skills with Mavis Beacon Keyboarding v. 16 and apply Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to classroom activities and exercises.
