HOW TO MAKE PAPER

Tear a sheet of newspaper into small pieces. Place the pieces in a plastic container and cover them with water. Let the mixture stand overnight.
Place the soaked paper into an electric blender. Add water to cover the paper. Blend the water and paper until a smooth mixture is formed. This is called paper pulp.
Place window screening in the bottom of a flat try. Then quickly pour the pulp onto the screen.
Lift the screen straight up out of the tray. There should be an even layer of pulp on the screen.
Set the screen on several layers of newspaper to absorb water from the pulp.
Place a sheet of wax paper over the pulp. Use a heavy book to press the water out of the pulp.
Remove the book. Holding the wax paper and the screen, turn them upside down. Remove the screen. Let the pulp sit overnight. Predict what the new paper will be like.
The next day carefully remove your new paper. Allow it to dry thoroughly. Try writing, drawing, or painting on your paper.
